Hotel rooms reserved in Kodiak on July 23 and 24th at the Kodiak Compass Suites and are included in the course fees. The following nights will be spend on the Dreamcatcher boat. Transportation to and from Kodiak is the responsibility of the participant and not included in course fees. We are able to provide transportation beginning June 24th in Kodiak. The hotel provides a shuttle from the airport, which must be arranged independently if arriving on June 23rd. Once all participants complete this form, we will connect participants with mirrored itineraries. Participants will be aboard the Dreamcatcher charter vessel from July 25-31. The group will take float planes from Katmai to Kodiak on July 31st, and hotel rooms at Kodiak Compass Suites are provided this night, included in the course fee. We strongly advise participants do not book travel out of Kodiak on July 31st, as there are many travel logistics this day that could cause delays out of anyone's control. PWS Teacher Course Travel Details The PWS Teacher Course begins in Anchorage on June 4th at 3:00pm with a 2-hour trip orientation at our office, 3400 Spenard Road, Suit 106. Food and lodging are not provided this night. If you will be traveling from outside of the Anchorage area, please arrange for lodging in Anchorage the night of June 4th. The group will meet again at our office on June 5th at 10:30a, ready for departure. We may assist with a pick-up from your lodging this morning if within the Anchorage bowl. The water taxi is scheduled to pickup the group from Derickson Bay on June 10th at 10:30a. The course is anticipated to end by 2:30p on June 10th, however there are many factors outside of our control this day (sea conditions, the Whittier tunnel, the Seward Highway, etc) and we cannot guarantee you are back in Anchorage by a specific time for further travel. If you would like to book travel out of Anchorage on June 10th, please take this into consideration and make flexible travel arrangements, plan to stay in Anchorage this night, or book a late flight. Driving a long distance (i.e. back to Fairbanks) this night is not recommended, as it's already a very long day. We are happy to drop you off at your lodging. Booking lodging in Anchorage: Please consider booking lodging close to our Spenard office at 3400 Spenard Road, Suite 106 99503. This is helpful for logistics, and there are plenty of amenities nearby. If you will be driving to Anchorage, please note that we do have limited unsecured overnight parking at our office.
