Travel

Please select how you will be traveling to Anchorage for the trip start:(Required)
Please note: we do not have overnight parking
Airport Pick-Ups & Drop-Offs
We do Ted Stevens Airport pick-ups at 11:00am and 3:00p on Orientation Day (the start date of the trip). We can provide airport drop offs either late night, after 9pm, on the day the trip ends, or until 12pm the following day. We cannot supervise students after 12pm on the day following the trip end.
Trip Schedule
Our trip start dates are a 3-hour orientation from 4-7pm (with the exception of the Iditarod Trail Building trip). Parents/Guardians are not required to attend. Most students will head home for the evening after. For students coming from out of town, we provide food and camping with AK Geo instructors. Please see your trip Welcome Packet for departure details for the next day.
For students traveling by air, we ask that they have a contact person in Anchorage to assist with logistic support that may arise outside of the days we are able to supervise out-of-town students (the start day of the trip to 12pm the day after the trip ends). Most importantly, this should be a person you feel comfortable staying overnight with in the case of a significant flight delay.
Do you need lodging in Anchorage (camping) the night after orientation?(Required)
We can provide camping at the Eagle River Campground with AK Geo Trip Instructors if you will be traveling from outside the Anchorage area. Note: We are not able to provide this for Iditarod Trail Building
Do you need lodging in Anchorage (camping) the night the trip ends?(Required)
If you are traveling out of Anchorage the day after the trip ends and need lodging in Anchorage after your trip, please select yes. *We are only able to accommodate students until 12pm the day after their trip ends.*
